Well... its been quite sometime since i have last updated. Life has been crazy and absolutely amazing! I dont think i could ask for better friends then the ones i have. I swear the conversations i have had just in the last week make this year already better than last year. I have enjoyed being and RA for the sake that i have gotten to really get close with a couple guys slowly but surely and i hope that by the end of the semester they will open up to me and that i will be able to just help build into their lives. Im not a big fan of rules and so i kinda set a goal for me to not give out any demerits... i mean, that doesnt mean that if someone is shootin someone im just gonna walk away. I will do my job, but you know what i mean i think...hahaha! I also have had a good time with SGA, we got a bunch of sweet events planned and i hope that it goes well this year! Then, certaintly last but not least OPE. Let me just say God is awesome and i love these guys! We had our first blade group meeting with is our like bible study groups and all we did was just talk about where we are with God and then prayed and it was so cool to get close to 4 other guys that love God as much if not more than myself! OPE is looked at as a bad thing i think sometimes and really it is just a group of guys who like to have fun and learn to become leaders and men of God so that we can impact the world. OPE is NOT for a label... and i think it is looked as that sometimes... so ya, i hope that when you look at it that you dont roll your eyes and think bad thoughts, cuz we are just ordinary people! So ya...God has been teaching me a lot lately and its been awesome. Right now He is teaching me contentment with where i am in my life with school, activities, relationships with friends and the whole like life part! haha! I have come to the conclusion that whats gonna happen is gonna happen so why worry about it. I have done amazingly great at bein cool with it this week and not worrying and its been awesome and it has made life a lot less stressfull! I ahve also been reading 1/2 Corinthians and it has just been so sweet! I love seeing where the people of corinith where at in their relationship with God and then seeing where i am at and i see how similar we are...so i feel like i am just getting the letter from Paul just as much as the corinthians are. But one verse that hit me the other day was in 2 Cor. 6:11-13, "We have spooken freely to you, Corinthians, and open wide our hearts to you. We are not withholding our affection from you, but you are withholding yours from us. As a fair exchange- I speak as to my children- open wide your hearts also." This hit home with me, cuz i think of how often i sometimes try to hide stuff from God or i guess just fail to tell him whats goin on. BUT he already knows he just wants us to tell him and to tell others and be accountable for what I do and have someone there to lift me up. However, he calls us to be REAL here and to just let ourselves be vulnerable to others and let our guard down sometimes and see how he can work in our lives. God has been amazing to me and i dont deserve any of it, but im very thankful for every breath im given and every day im given to be an example of Him. Well, im outta here, but i hope y'all have a sweet day! Well... its been like forever since i last posted on this guy. But its been a ton of fun since i last posted! I ton of up and downs, but the ups have definitely won this summer! I thank God so much for taking me to this camp this summer and i have enjoyed it like none other. However, eventhough this ministry has come to a close there is always new ones that are yet to come and i cant wait to start school. Im headin out tomorrow and im pretty sure my stomach is in knots of excitement! I miss so many of you people and i cant wait to get back at it again. God taught me so much this summer alone and i cant wait to see what else he has in store for me this year at skool. I dont think we can ever put God in a box cuz he always escapes and proves you wrong or pushes you past YOUR desires. However, he is always there to suppprt you even when you do mess up. He has taught me a lot in relying on Him lately in every capacity of my life not just here or there. Hes an amazing God and i dont even know how to describe it. Well, hey i need to go pack but thats just a lil debriefing of how amazing this summer was! have a good one!!
